May 6 @ noon – families with kids in 2nd to 4th grade are invited to a beach picnic at China Beach. We will gather near the picnic tables for burgers and hot dogs. Feel free to bring a dessert or side dish to share. Drinks and main food will be provided. Bring your usual
March 9 – the youth group will be hosting a bake sale. The proceeds will go towards their summer trips to offset the costs of travel, food, and scholarships.
June 11-13, the middle and high schoolers will be going on a 2-day camping trip to Rock ‘n’ Water in Auburn, CA. We are planning a couple fundraisers to offset the cost. All kids’ programs will begin again January 8. If you are interested in teaching, the lesson plans are simple. All supplies are provided. The program time begins at 10am on Sunday and the kids return to worship around 10.30 – 10.40 am depending on the lesson. Dec 3, time TBD, come and decorate the church for the Advent and Christmas season. We will be making ornaments, sharing Christmas goodies, and then afterwards going caroling around the neighborhood.
Mark your calendars all middle and high schoolers! The youth lock-in will be November 4-5. Arrive at St. John’s at 7pm, Nov 4 for dinner, bible reflection, and fun games.
